A one-week series of lectures and hands-on tutorials (bring your own laptop — Windows, Mac, or Linux) on the calculation of spectroscopy and dynamics in correlated quantum materials. Topics include:

  • Real-frequency DMFT
  • Atomic multiplet theory, crystal field theory, charge-transfer ligand-field theory, and Anderson impurity models
  • X-ray spectroscopy: XAS, PES, and RIXS
  • LDA-based calculations embedded in many-body calculations
